Instructions
- Preheat your oven and grease four pudding basins to ensure the cakes release easily after baking.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition to maintain a smooth consistency.
- Gently fold in the self-raising flour and vanilla essence until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly between the four prepared pudding basins.
