Description

This effortless Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler transforms simple pantry staples into a warm, jammy dessert with a buttery, golden topping. Perfect for potlucks or cozy weeknights, it delivers classic cobbler flavor without ever needing to turn on the oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) peach pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Spray the insert of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Spread the peach pie filling evenly across the bottom and stir in the almond extract.
  3. Sprinkle the dry vanilla cake mix in an even layer over the fruit filling.
  4. Place the cubes of salted butter in a grid pattern across the top of the cake mix.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 2.5 hours until the edges are bubbling and the topping is golden and set.
  6. Turn off the heat and let the cobbler rest for at least 15 minutes to allow the juices to thicken before serving.

Notes

For an even more uniform crust, ensure the cake mix is spread as level as possible so the melting butter covers any dry spots. Adding a dash of cinnamon to the peaches before cooking can provide a wonderful warmth, and serving this dessert with cold vanilla ice cream creates a perfect temperature contrast.
